Abstract:

We consider real planar polynomial differential systems with at least one critical point located at the origin. For several monoparametric families of systems we are able to construct transversal conics which define Poincaré-Bendixson regions and thus we prove the existence of limit cycles.
We determine sharp bounds for the bifurcation values of limit cycles for several types of systems.
