Abstract

In this talk I will discuss a semi-flow dynamics in a space that is closely related to the Outer space of Culler and Vogtmann. This semi-flow enables to show that a natural "space of train tracks" associated to irreducible free group outer automorphisms is contractible, answering a question raised by Karen Vogtmann.
