Abstract

The main objective of the course is to provide an elementary introduction to the theory of algebraic invariants of differential systems, based on the classical invariant theory.
We describe different methods for constructing invariant polynomials, and we illustrate them studying some simple classes of planar differential systems. Applications are done for distinguishing several geometrical properties of some classes of polynomial differential systems.
