Abstract
Border-collisions are a special kind of bifurcations that occur when iterating piecewise smooth real functions. In this setting we can observe strange things like chaotic jets and n-furcation of stable branches. In 1987 Takens gave the basis of the theory of Border-collision bifurcations. Takens′ ideas will be presented, as well as other results due to Yorke and Nusse.Location Centre de Recerca Matemàtica
