Abstract

The paper answers some questions asked by Sharkovskii concerning the map $F:\; (u,v)\; -->\; (u(4-u-v),uv)$ of the triangle $\Delta \; =\; \{\; u,\; v\; \ge \; 0\; :\; u+v\; \le \; 4\}.$
