Abstract:

This talk is concerned with the harmonic balance method. Three different issues about the use of this method are analyzed. The first one, in the study of the period function associated to a potential system. The second one, in the study of weak periodic solutions of a differential equation and finally we give a theoretical basis of this method in the case of non-autonomous differential equations.
