Abstract:

In this talk we present the Newton's method applied to a family of quintic polynomials and their relation with the Bring-Jerrard transformations. We mainly focus in the parameter plane and in some bifurcation cascade along the reals. This is a joint work with Beatriz Campos, Xavier Jarque and Pura Vindel.
