Abstract:

Along the talk we will introduce Shishikura's papers dealing with the configurations of Herman rings of rational functions and how they can be representated using trees. We will explain the basic properties of such trees and how the dynamics are represented in them. We will as well present the conditions that a tree has to satisfy in order to ensure that it is realisable by a rational function.
