Abstract:

We consider unimodal quasiperiodically forced maps, that is, skew products with irrational rotations of the circle in the base and unimodal interval maps in the fibers. These models are extensions of the ones considered by Gerhard Keller where the maps in the fibers are monotone. The first part of the talk will be a survey on these kind of models and on Keller's results. We will see that under some additional assumptions on the system there exists a strange nonchaotic attractor and study its properties.
