Abstract:

In this talk we present the article "Connectedness of the Arnold Tongues for Double Standard Maps" of Alexandre Dezotti. In this article it is proven that the tongues of the double standard maps $f_{a,b}(x)=2x+a+b/pi sin(2pi x) , (mod 1)$ are connected by performing a quasi-conformal surgery construction.
