Abstract

In our study of the centre conditions/limit cycles for nonlinear differential systems we often need to calculate the resultant of large, multivariate polynomials. There are various methods for calculating symbolic resultants; many of these methods require the evaluation of a determinant and are extremely demanding of computer resources. We consider techniques to make this process more feasible.
