Abstract

First we recall how we can use Lie symmetries of discrete dynamical systems to study their dynamics. Some examples will be shown (see JDE 244 (2008), 630-648).

In the second part we use the expression of a Lie symmetry for the k dimensional Lyness map to obtain some information about the geometry of their invariant sets, and therefore its dynamics.
