Abstract

By using the Lefschetz fixed point theory, we classify the set of periods of the Morse-Smale diffeomorphisms defined on the 2-dimensional torus for a given homotopy class. We recall that this class of diffeomorphisms are structurally stable inside the class of all diffeomorphisms of the 2-dimensional torus.
