This is the fourth edition of the school “Topics in complex dynamics at Universitat de Barcelona" (visit here the web page of the third edition). The event will take place at IMUB (Institut de Matemàtiques de la Universitat de Barcelona), in the historical building of the University located at Pl. Universitat (see Location for more details).

There will be three courses of 4.5 hours each. The courses are intended for graduate students or recent Ph.D’s, and cover important tools in complex dynamics, starting from an introductory level. The afternoons are reserved for student talks, where they may present their work, either finished or in progress.

This year the lecturers and the subjects are:

Christian Henriksen (Technical University of Denmark): Conformal structures, conformal metrics and extremal length.

Gwyneth Stallard (The Open University, UK): The escaping set and spiders' webs for transcendental entire functions.

Marco Abate (Università di Pisa, Italy): Local dynamics of holomorphic functions of C^n.

Organizers: Núria Fagella (Univesitat de Barcelona), Antonio Garijo (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) and Xavier Jarque (Universitat Rovira i Virgili and Universitat de Barcelona).
