Abstract:

Newtonian circular restricted four-body problem, formulated on the basis of Lagrange triangular solutions of the three-body problem, is considered. Lyapunov stability of equilibrium positions of mentioned problem is analyzed using KAM-theory. For this purpose we construct Birghoff’s type canonical transformation reducing the Hamiltonian function to the normal form up to the sixth order in perturbations. The influence of the resonances on the stability of equilibrium positions is examined in detail. Problem is solved in planar and spatial formulations.
